Female Lead Character Outline Part 2
P.O.T.U.S-
Katherine Alexandra Janney (S.S Codenames: “Pharos”, “Phoenix”):
Katherine, or
“Kate”, is young, 38 years old, and is just over six feet tall, with long legs
and shoulder-length reddish-auburn brown hair, and bright blue-green eyes. She
speaks with a muted Franco-German accent. She is described as “devastatingly
beautiful” and “intimidatingly intelligent”. She is somewhat elegant,
definitely beautiful, and intelligent, having earned her M.D Law degree from
Harvard, graduating on top of her class. Despite being the President of the
United States and a former United States Senator, in her personality and
demeanor, she is still a lawyer at heart.
She is quite
intense in both emotions and personality. She has what can only be described as
an intense personality, and is very intense in her emotions.
She has been known
for being tough, thick-skinned, and hard-headed. Many think she developed her
hardened exterior after an emotionally traumatic time ten years ago. She is
ordinarily calm, cool and calculating, and is ordinarily thoughtful and
contemplative.
She possesses what
commentators have called: “one of the sharpest, if not the sharpest, political
minds to come down the pipes in a generation.” She has an incredibly quick,
agile, sharp and analytical mind, and occasionally an even sharper tongue.
She always has
been quite skilled orator and a talented public speaker, not afraid to be
controversial, or even abrasive, but nevertheless persuasive. She is sharp, but
knows when and where to choose her words carefully and cautiously when voicing
her opinions. She has an impressive background knowledge and memory for
details.
She has been, for
the past ten years, the legal custodial guardian of her niece, now eighteen,
named Zoë Gates-Allen, and loves her with an intensity unlike any she has ever
felt toward anybody in her life. She is
fiercely protective of Zoë, partially out of a feeling of responsibility, even
guilt, for being absent, not being there for her, over the past seven years.
Her staff have
come to know her as a tough, high-energy, intense boss. She is, however,
increasingly sensitive and considerate, and is nevertheless courteous and
polite, and often friendly. They have also come to appreciate her ambition and
desire, as well as her need to be a single mother first, a President second,
and a single woman third.
